Built for every guest

A memorial page is opened by people of every age, often on a phone, often in a hard moment. Memorabilia aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on the website, the guest page and the family app.

What we do

  • Text can be enlarged to 200% without losing content; the app follows your phone’s text size.
  • Colours meet the contrast levels the guidelines ask for; nothing is conveyed by colour alone.
  • Every button and link has a name a screen reader can speak; form fields have labels; images that carry meaning have descriptions.
  • Buttons are at least 44 by 44 points; everything works with a keyboard and with VoiceOver and TalkBack.
  • No flashing content, no time limits on writing a memory, and the page works without JavaScript for reading.
  • The guest page is in English and Spanish.

How we check

Every build runs an automated accessibility check (axe) over the public pages, and we test the guest page by hand with a screen reader before each release. Printed books use large, high-contrast type and offer a large-print edition.

Tell us

If something is in your way, write to [email protected] with the page and what happened. We answer within two business days and fix what we can straight away. A family member can also add your memory for you from the app.
